WRAP

We are currently working with WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) which helps businesses and individuals reduce waste, develop sustainable products and use resources in an efficient way.

We are providing support to the retail supply chain team, acting as a Key Account Manager helping to implement the Courtauld Commitment 2, which is a voluntary agreement between WRAP, Defra (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs), the Scottish and Welsh governments and the UK grocery sector to achieve significant reductions in household packaging and food waste.

This is being delivered by our retail and grocery expert, Nigel Smith who is providing in-house support to the WRAP team. This key account management role involves supporting a number of high-profile Courtauld signatories, helping them to understand the targets and to implement projects to reduce packaging and food waste.

To deliver this, Nigel has immersed himself within the team at WRAP spending a number of days per week working directly from their offices and picking up the requirements of the role in a very short space of time. He is also meeting retail and grocery contacts on-site to provide waste audit support and specialist waste reduction advice supported by WRAP’s technical specialists.
